It is very likely that you'll talk to Cameron, the founder of Create Renovations. Cam has over 15 years of experience with house extensions, and will be able to get a solid understanding of your unique project straight away.

Before you do this, it might be useful to have a read of our extension costs page, and if you're ready to move forward, why not get a quote for your extension.

ConsultationStep 2.

In Person Planning Session

Once you've set up a meeting over the phone, one of our qualified specialists will come to your home to go over the project in person.

During this session we will look at the current dwelling together and discuss the ideas you have around price and timeframe. We will also offer you advice in various areas, including materials and rough cost estimation based on our experience.

This design and build to budget service sets us apart from other builders - we work with your ideas & budget to design the extension for you.

Architectural Design

Step 3.
Design Concepts

By this stage you'll probably want to see some visuals, and fair enough! We understand that you don't want to commit until you can see a design.

So during this process, we will show you what your house will look like based on computer generated designs.

These will be created keeping the parameters you have identified and are able to build within. It will also be tailored to your budget.

We can also provide you with 3D drawings of your house completed! Have a look at our extension design ideas page for a sneak peek of what you can expect.

Working Drawings

Step 4.
Working Drawings

You may be wondering, what's the difference between design concepts and working drawings? Well this is the next step so read on...

Working drawings are used by tradesman and anyone else involved in the project to reference. This is the real nuts and bolts of how your house will be built.

Structural engineering and site surveying will add details to them and everything we do will be added to the document as well.

This is the real blueprint of your new extension, from the materials used, to the smallest dimension - it's all covered in your working drawings.

Step 5.

To make sure everything tracks smoothly, we go over a timeline with you and give you an honest indication of what will happen and when.

We will talk you through everything, from how to manage your pets over this period, to how we can best use shared driveway with minimum impact, how to approach your neighbours in cross-lease situations, and any noise allowances we may require after hours.
