The dream for our client was to create a spacious, modern outdoor entertainment that was safe and enjoyable to spend time in. So our designer worked with the client to come up with ideas which lead to a stellar outdoor barbeque and swimming area with a covered lounger patio featuring retractable louvers for shade in the summer. However, this was a plaster house that was suffering rotting windows with some windows even duct taped together! On top of that, the roof wasn't pitched well which can lead to major leaking, so pitching a brand new secure roof was critical. But we didn't stop there, this renovation included a full interior remodel, including new kitchen, lounge are and bathrooms. We also reapplied almost all of the exterior cladding, as per the clients instructions. As the roof was not in place structural steel beams were installed to ensure a solid framework for this home. Our team, and most importantly our client, are all extremely happy with how this project turned out! |

This contemporary design project is one of our latest completions. The client supplied our design team a sophisticated brief, and they took the recommendations to another level. The initial job involved restoring the original brick dwelling, then adding a new lounge, kitchen, bedroom, en suite and outdoor area. Some of the standout features include the external wooden cladding, an aesthetic touch which flows seamlessly through to the original floorboards and timber accents echoed throughout the home. The lighter areas are offset by a masculine dark colour way featured in the exterior flashing, the kitchen and lounge cabinetry and aluminium joinery. A stunning home both visually and in it's day to day practicalities, we installed full insulation, double glazed glass and underfloor heating for comfort and to introduce long-term energy efficiencies. |

This house is a nice family home that had a dated kitchen and tight spaces in and around the dining lounge, kitchen area. We removed walls and installed steel beams, opening up the space to make it flow better. We also installed new joinery, with sliding doors creating a great indoor/outdoor flow. We then moved the kitchen to a more functional layout and installed the new kitchen. Iain and Charmaine and their family are now enjoying their new open plan living, kitchen and dining area. It has truly transformed the heart of the home. |

This section was an extremely challenging build. With a large slope and geo tech issues the hard work started with getting resource consent. Once this had been granted Create Renovations got to work on building consent. Due to the geo tech issues engineers were involved and some creative thinking came into play. Making the most of the site to create the most bang for your buck in terms of space Create Renovations architects came up with the ideal plan. The owners wanted to maximise space even within the difficulties of a steep site. We went with a mono pitch design which created beautiful high ceiling and doors. |
Create Renovations really stepped up to the mark building this challenging home in record time. |
These customers loved their location and community in Northcote, North Shore, but didn't enjoy living in their space. Matt was very excited on demolition day seeing the old house pulled apart ready to be built back into something new. Matt and his family enjoyed choosing all their interior fittings and are now loving their peaceful, renovated retreat, surrounded by native bush. Their new deck is a perfect entertaining space with indoor/outdoor flow from the kitchen and dining. They also now have comfortable and enjoyable spacious bedrooms upstairs. |

The owners were in love with the character of this beautiful villa, and wanted to ensure the traditional look was maintained whilst adding some modern comforts. Our renovation has introduced a modern family bathroom, as well as an en suite adjoining the master bedroom and a large roomy wardrobe. The owners also wanted a modern kitchen but with a slight heritage look. They now have the hint of the past combined with all today's kitchen conveniences. To make the most of their lovely flat outdoor area they added bi-folding doors and bar. They now have fantastic indoor-outdoor flow, making the most of our wonderful kiwi lifestyle. |

The owners of this project loved where they lived, but were desperate for more space. So rather than selling, they chose to add a beautiful and stylish extension, creating extra living and sleeping areas while increasing the property value as a result. The master bedroom features a giant Nebulite sliding door opening to a deck - the perfect retreat to listen to the bird calls every morning. They have also gained a sunny and sheltered courtyard and more visible sea views looking over to Te Atatu. The owners have more than recouped their costs in the value they have added to their property, and being in a quiet, yet in demand area like Beach Haven this renovation has improved not only their potential resale price, but also their current lifestyle. |

It's hard not to fall in love with this beautiful old villa, it's charming original fittings and 1920's lino bring an antique feeling to a highly sought after, modern area. During our initial consultation, the client outlined that she didn't want to lose that unique feeling, but simply wanted to modernise, create more light and introduce better indoor/outdoor flow to her home. We noticed the bathroom and living room was very dark, so we agreed that by adding new bi-folding doors we could bring extra light into the living room, and by adding an en suite we could make day-today life more convenient. Initially our customer wanted to improve the livability of this villa, but as a bi-product we have increased the value of her house. |

This owner had been renting this house and now wanted to sell. As the market is extremely hot for renovated properties Tony wanted to add value and get the best price. The outside needed a face lift with landscaping, replacing a deck, coloured concrete, grass and a retaining wall. This created a beautiful sunny spot that would attractive to buyers. We also repainted, gibed and updated all internal walls. A new bathroom was the final touch to modernise this sunny house. Not surprisingly this house was snapped up very quickly, showing why renovating to sell is a great way to get extra capital on your property. |

This lovely family home set in beautiful native bush was the owner Rebecca's retreat, however certain aspects had begun frustrating her. She felt it was in need of a modern kitchen, better storage and more open plan flow. As with many renovations we had to work within the structural confines of load bearing walls to avoid a consenting process. Create Renovations delivered exactly what the client wanted by keeping two support beams creating a focus of the granite bench top. Rebecca and her daughters love to bake and now her custom made floor to ceiling cabinetry gave this owner the storage she dreamed of! |

LightHouse is a premium lighting company. The designer of their new shop in Wairau park planned some ambitious floating ceilings and employed our team to get it done. The end result is a stunning shop full of elegant and modern hanging lights. Their dark room we created is also a wonderful addition where they wanted a room to showcase some of their specialised LED coloured lighting. We have a great relationship with this store and this means when renovating with us you have access to trade prices on the beautiful Italian and Spanish light fittings in this store. Lighting is such an important part of any renovation and used well can highlight the beautiful hard work that has gone into your home. |

Our clients were nearing retirement, and wanted to create a home that allowed them to ease into their new lifestyle. The key was to maximise the views of the estuary and allow the sun to pour in, while they read the paper and have a cuppa on the balcony. We also extended the home in two directions to add a comfortable lounge and large sized kitchen for entertaining. |

This project required an extension added to the home to allow the family more living space. The extension required that the cladding and tiling be uniform with the rest of the house, to make it look natural. There was extensive interior work carried out to ensure all creature comforts and practicalities were addressed. |
Internally renovated, new kitchen, bathroom. New deck. Re did roof that did look as if it matched the house. Previously it was a tack on flat roof, we re pitched it and now it looks like it was always meant to be part of the house. |
