Current kitchen trends

Here at Create Renovations we keep our finger on the pulse with what is happening in the kitchen design world. Currently we are seeing everything from glossy white simplicity to a mid century Scandinavian feel.

A current kitchen being installed (pictures to come ) has a beautiful tranquil blue glass splash back contrasted with glossy white cabinetry. Composite stone is used for the bench top. We are seeing a lot of white composite stone being used at the moment due it its hard wearing durability. Perfect for a family kitchen! In the picture above we like how the appearance of floating cabinetry gives an illusion of space.

  

When it comes to bench tops you still can't beat the longevity of natural stone/granite. It is a timeless design statement only found in quality kitchens. In our opinion something beautifully crafted by nature will never go out of fashion. And if in 15 years time you want to replace the cabinetry, your beautiful stone top can be used again and again.

The kitchen pictured to the left has a bench top of dark granite with flecks of gold. This customer in Hillcrest loved the natural look of granite and picked a colour that highlights the golden warm tones of the rest of her colour scheme.
